Titanium bars pros/cons
Titanium bars
Titanium bars
Many customers ask about the advantages or disadvantages of titanium bars, well it’s really quite simple titanium bars are more ridged than heat-treated chromolisium bars yet approximately 100 grams lighter than heat-treated 6061 alloy bars. and are the lightest weight metal component known today, but because the bars are extremely rigid with no flex you will get a very hard ride, with a much bigger risk of breaking plus they are expensive to manufacture and are actually weaker than alloy bars, so the only advantage titanium bars have is the weight. titanium is not a new product it was used in the bicycle industry in pro-level racing during the 1970 to 1980 era and because of all the issues with titanium, it is no longer used.
So if you are of heavy build over 80 kg or the kind of rider who tends to bend or break bars due to your riding style,
you might want to stick to oversized chromolisium bars.
PS Please note all scooter Titanium bars on the market have a large percentage of chrome moly in in mix pure titanium bars would snap like an old carrot
